On page ten, it indicates the hoses connecting the other way. Maybe the hoses are designed for multi-use with different manifolds or charging kits, puzzles me? If there are no Schrader valves to connect to then, as already posted, it makes no difference. Back in the R12 days I remember connecting things in reverse a few times Just remember to keep the manifold valves closed while hooking things up, they register pressures when closed and will leak through the center hose if left open.
Also, it is easier to hook up the Lo side with the compressor running because the pressure is much lower. It is at the highest soon after turning off a hot system. After sitting a long time both sides will be equal.
