Many of us do padlock the trailer hitch lever down so it can not be disconnected from the ball. This can also be a good thing to get used to doing as it is a reminder to not forget to snap the lever down onto the ball. But what about securing the hitch extension into the bumper’s receiver? If you just use the original spring snap clip to hold the pin in place, it is rather easy to pull the pin, slide the trailer rearward enough to get the extension out of the receiver and then transfer the extension to a waiting vehicle that has the same commonly used receiver. To prevent this, I have drilled my extension pin out enough to also accept a padlock bail, as shown in the photo below on the right. It is nice to purchase 2 or 3 padlocks using the same key for this situation. You do need to remove the extension padlock occasionally and clean the padlock up so it will function when needed. I have found that if you don’t, the lock may become hard to unlock. Therefore it may be prudent to smear some Vaseline around where the bail enters the base to keep out water which turns metal into rust and over the key slot to keep the dust from getting inside the tumbler. For those of you who may wonder what the upper license plate frame says, it is “Crime Control” on top, and the bottom as seen, “Not Gun Control”.

I mean, bios was frozen at startup, no moniter, drives, no usb nothing, and then the eraser. If you live in FL I owe you a beer. What does FL stand for? I live in Mauritius. It’s such a nice country.
Oct 03, · Well first of all if you hook up jumper cables backwards you will get a big spark off the battery. telling you it is something wrong. and you need to check your connections. For this not to happen look at your battery before hooking up the : Resolved.
It shows on the picture by the two AC outputs 7 and 8. I cannot find a download for the manual so I cannot confirm that both of these AC outputs are milliamps but this is what it looks like from the data on their website. Will this damage the unit? The amp comes with FX loop but currently my new setup is running everything upfront. I only want to gate my drive pedals and vibe. The pedals in use are as below: You want to set up a loop with the G String as follows: The output will drive your Strymon and Dyna Verb without any truncation of the delay or reverb and the output of these effects will feed the input of your amplifier.
And to switch between just distortion to just preamp, do I have to hit two buttons or does turning off distortion automatically engage preamp?

Paul Berry After building the product for Huffington Post, and owning the product and engineering groups at AOL after we were acquired, it was clear to me there was a huge gap between what the current CMS offering gave the world and what the world needed. Five years later we are at scale, moving the needle and doing to WordPress what Airbnb did to Craigslist. Social and Centralized WordPress, Drupal, and the custom CMS solutions of the world are all independent, non-connected instances that each need to be updated individually.
There are over 87 million instances of WordPress alone in the world, and each security upgrade, feature update, and every other single thing has to be updated for each site individually. By contrast, RebelMouse is a social, centralized platform built to keep up with the speed of the tech giants.
RAY: By the way, they now sell “idiot-proof” jumper cables that won’t operate if you hook them up incorrectly. Go out and buy two pairs. King Features Syndicate.
AB, I have a hp dv that I would like to add extra memory to and have no bloody clue how to do so step by step after oppening the memory cover. There are two memory slots under the memory cover. Carefully spread latches located on both sides of the module. The memory module will pop up at a degree angle.
Pull the memory module from the slot by the edges. As an example, you can use this guide for removing RAM modules. I purchased an extra gig for the laptop and it seems not to fit as it is a long strip. I guess you purchased memory for a desktop computer. The laptop module is shorter. I read that in order to upgrade from the current 1 gig to 2, I need to purchase two 1 gig slots because this laptop does not have extra slots. I would have to remove the current pieces and insert the news ones.
A memory slot is a connector where you insert a memory module. You have to buy memory modules, not slots.
The transistors and diodes are available from many sources. Please visit the Parts reference page for suggested sites. Bally Game List. Produced with both boardsets and the older Bally boardsets, but the boardset version seems to be more prevelant. Also produced in extremely limited numbers, probably just a few with a board A D MPU that looks nearly identical to the MPU board. For repair info and LED flash sequences for the and boards, see the Bally repair guide as most of the information there including the LED flash codes is the same.
Had this happen to me once, the lady I was trying to jump had her cables crossed on her end. Thankfully they were some ratty old jumper cables so they went up .
Notes Programming Computer Speed: Disabling the computer’s BIOS caching is a technique for slowing the computer down that may help, unless the computer is just too fast to begin with. It is simple, the faster the computer the less reliable the RSS becomes. Marginally too fast computer induced failures are characterized by it mostly working, but failing to do certain functions the type of failures vary, see next paragraph.
If you really pump up the computer speed i. The older the conventional RSS version is, the more sensitive it is to the computer’s speed i. One type of computer speed related problem was experienced with a SX at 40 MHz. The MDC board was suspected of being bad until a slower computer was tried and then it programmed and verified correctly. The entire variety of speed related failures would be impossible to identify and the point of this paragraph is to make clear that just because things appear to be working with a faster than recommended computer, it is no guarantee it is working reliably.
A service shop should stick with an 8 MHz computer or slower for the Syntor X radios. This way they will know that any programming failures are not their computers fault and will not waste time trouble shooting the radio’s hardware because of incorrect error reports caused by a slightly too fast computer.

Comment Subscribe to comments with RSS. CampRicco I have two battery banks. I want to be able to plug portable bank into stationary bank for charging. Should I be concerned about the inrush current when connecting portable bank into stationary bank while battery charges are equalizing. Can a resistor be added to cable to slow current while banks are equalizing. If so where in connection and what value would you recommend.
Connecting the jumper cables the wrong way might actually damage your vehicle. If your battery is running low (that’s why you can’t start) then you have less voltage across it’s nodes. When you connect another battery with the exchanged nodes, the current will flow out of your battery (since it’s voltage is lower) and damage the battery.
My symptoms are no power to speak of below rpm. At that point turbo boost occurs and power comes up, though no where near what it should be. The engine revs smoothly but runs out of steam before rpm. I’m left to decide if the problem is the AMM or the O2 sensor. If your B FT throws oil around like mine, the throttle body can easily get crudded up and cause problems exactly as you described.
All these were fine, just a dirty throttle body caused the problem.

How to Hook up Jumper Cables Your car battery could be too weak to start your car for a number of reasons: Whatever the cause, you can use jumper cables to connect your dead battery to a live vehicle battery of the same size. The live battery then charges your dead battery enough to get the car started again. Steps 1 Park the donor vehicle live battery next to the vehicle with the dead battery.
Jun 17, · I recently learned that there is an orange relay with a diode inside that protects the ECU from reverse-voltage if the battery or jumper cables are hooked up wrong. I don’t know if the TCU (automatic) is also protected this way but knowing Nissan it probably is.
Hardware Abuse Some of the things people do to computers is downright painful. Recently, I got a call from someone who turned off his computer whenever he found himself somewhere in Windows he didn’t want to be. Wonder of all wonders, scandisk found a score of lost allocation units and bad sectors. He called about a week later and said that it would no longer boot up. He brought it in, and I discovered that sixteen nicely drilled holes were in the bottom of the case.
I asked him about it, and he said the machine was too hot sitting on his lap, so he had drilled these “air holes. I once had a customer that wanted a light in her computer, similar to a computer she saw at one of her friend’s houses. So she lit a candle and set it inside her tower case. One of my favorite stories is from back in the 90s.
A guy bought a bit sound card for his computer, but for whatever reason decided he only needed an 8-bit sound card. Instead of taking it back and exchanging it, he figured all he needed to do was get a pair of scissors and physically cut the sound card in half. My friend from school thought that since the CPU heatsink burned his finger when the computer was on, it must be keeping the CPU too hot to overclock.
So he took it off.

Jumper cables are not designed to carry the huge surge of electrical current, and will quickly heat up to very high temperatures. This can melt the insulation on the cables and potentially expose people to direct contact with the electrical cables. The heat can also melt solder and other components that hold the cables and clamps together.
Gazing at Stars and ‘Home Runs’ It’s important that you understand the concept of Star Wiring topology sometimes called home-run wiring before you start. All LAN wiring uses a star topology. Star or home-run wiring means that each access point wall-plate is directly run back to a central or home location normally in the basement or where the telephone service enters the premises with no breaks. Many, if not most, older premises and even quite recent ones use multi-drop telephone wiring which allows multiple phone access points on a single cable run.
Diagram 1 illustrates the differences in wiring topologies. Diagram 1 – Star vs Multi-drop wiring Equipment – Cables and Connectors This section provides some notes about what type of cables and connectors you can use. Today you should be using Category 5e wiring which is typically competitively priced. If you want to invest for the future use Category 6 wiring.
Cables 5, 5e or 6 come in two forms. Stranded – each conductor is made up of multiple smaller wires and Solid – each conductor has a single wire. Stranded cable is typically more expensive than solid cable. In general, cables that are rarely moved, such as runs inside walls or backbone wiring, use solid cabling.
